Bike Share Research & Design Project

This project focused on understanding the factors that influence people’s choice to use bike-sharing services over car ownership, especially in promoting sustainability and reducing pollution. We conducted surveys to gather insights on users’ preferences, such as bike design, seasonal themes, and color choices, in order to make bike-sharing more appealing and widely adopted.

Based on the research, we redesigned Toronto’s bike share bikes to reflect popular color schemes and seasonal themes. Each design aimed to resonate with the diverse needs and aesthetics of the city’s bike users, from bright, eye-catching colors to more subtle, elegant designs for different times of the year. We incorporated seasonal concepts, like Fall or Pride themes, to make the bikes not only functional but also a unique part of the urban landscape.
